Professor Saiful Islam gives CDT-ACM Seminar

Professor Saiful Islam was invited to give a seminar to CDT-ACM staff and students as part of the student-led seminar series. Saiful is Professor of Materials Chemistry at Bath University. His lecture was entitled From Lithium Batteries to Perovskite Solar Cells: Atomic-Scale Insights into Energy Materials, and explored breakthroughs in clean energy technologies which require advances in new materials and underpinning science.  With the aid of 3D glasses, the talk highlighted the use of advanced modelling methods in synergy with experimental work to gain atomic-scale insights into novel materials for lithium-ion batteries and perovskite solar cells. It was an excellent seminar and everyone had a great afternoon.
